Il Contributor Day è una giornata di lavoro in gruppo, guidata da contributor esperti, dedicata alle diverse aree che compongono WordPress. I gruppi di lavoro sono aperti a tutti e mettono insieme chi ha già esperienza e chi è alle prime armi. Come tutti i progetti open source, WordPress è aggiornato e migliorato continuamente da volontari sparsi in tutto il mondo che dedicano una parte del proprio tempo a questo progetto. Ogni contributo conta!
Da rispondere alle domande nel forum di supporto, alla traduzione di plugin e temi, fino alla contribuzione del core, ovvero il codice che sta sotto il cofano.
Tutti possono dare una mano: sviluppatori, designer, content producer, traduttori, tester, esperti di UX e accessibilità, studenti. Chiunque desideri mettere a disposizione le proprie conoscenze è benvenuto!
Il tuo livello di conoscenza di WordPress non fa differenza.
Lo scopo principale del Contributor Day è imparare a contribuire a WordPress.
Cosa succede durante i Contributor Day
Al Contributor Day potrai lavorare fianco a fianco con persone provenienti dall’Italia e dall’estero, fare amicizia, e imparare: sarà una giornata ricca di nuove esperienze. Se non hai mai contribuito prima e hai voglia di iniziare, questo è il momento giusto!

I Team
Il progetto WordPress.org è portato avanti da 18 gruppi di lavoro principali. All’evento parteciperanno membri già attivi della comunità che ti aiuteranno a orientarti.
I gruppi saranno organizzati al mattino in base a competenze, richieste e disponibilità. Non ci sono regole fisse: durante la giornata si può anche cambiare gruppo di lavoro.
Cosa Portare
Ingredienti fondamentali:
- La voglia di imparare e contribuire a rendere WordPress migliore per tutti!
- Il tuo computer, è necessario per quasi tutti i team.
- Il caricabatterie!
- Se ti piace prendere appunti sulla carta porta anche un quaderno e penne.
- E perché no? Biglietti da visita per restare in contatto con tutte le nuove persone che conoscerai a Milano!
Prima del 22 novembre ti consigliamo di:
- Aprire un account WordPress.org, se non ne hai già uno.
- Fare un giro su Make WordPress per sapere qualcosa di più sui team.

È necessario sapere l’inglese?
No. Ma una conoscenza base, anche scolastica, aiuta a interagire con gli altri partecipanti, nella lettura di istruzioni, documentazione, ecc…
Voglio venire solo al Contributor Day e non alla conferenza. Posso?

What is the Contributor Day?
Contributor Day is a day of work in a group, led by expert contributors, dedicated to the different areas that make up WordPress. The working groups are open to all and bring together those who are already experienced and those who are beginners. Like all open source projects, WordPress is updated and continuously improved by volunteers around the world who dedicate a portion of their time to this project. Every contribution counts!
To answer the questions in the support forum, to the translation of plugins and themes, up to the contribution of the core, or the code that is under the hood.
Everyone can help: developers, designers, content producers, translators, testers, UX experts and accessibility, students. Anyone wishing to make their knowledge available is welcome!
Your level of WordPress knowledge makes no difference.
The main purpose of Contributor Day is to learn how to contribute to WordPress.
What happens during Contributor Day
At the Contributor Day you can work side by side with people from Italy and abroad, make friends, and learn: it will be a day full of new experiences. If you’ve never contributed before and you want to get started, this is the right time!
